Keep It Simple, Stupid!
It Can’t Be That Simple
“Any updates on Mr. ETC? I feel we’re close to exposing him.” asks the detective.
“Yes — here are the latest tracking results.” says the detective as she hands over a stack of papers.
“I can’t believe it! All this motherfucker does is Embrace the Chase!?”
The disappointment in the room is excruciating — the failure to expose Mr. ETC hurts the detectives’ hearts.
The head of detectives walks in and simply states:
“We can’t stop him. He can only stop himself. He is too far gone. He has found the secret to life.”
Embrace the Chase
I find myself making life harder than it has to be. It’s annoying because all we really need to do is focus on the basics on human living and the rest will take care of itself.
Oh — If Only It Was That Simple
Well, it can be. Human beings are professionals at complicating the simplest things. It’s not our fault, our minds like to increase the difficulty.
So — let’s keep it simple. How?
You already know how. But here is a nice reminder:
Sleep 6 hours minimum. Develop a solid routine of wake up and bed times.
Put the phone away. Create more than you consume.
Choose a mission — frame the lens of life towards your goals.
Eat mostly whole foods and drink enough water — stop thinking you’re special and immune to the laws of nutrition (message to self)
Movement is Key (walking, training, running, dancing — who cares, make time to move your body in a way you enjoy.)
Keep It Simple, Stupid!
